AAJ Members Step Up to Support Cradles to Crayons

Did you know that 1 in 2 children in Chicagoland lack access to affordable, appropriate clothing?

One of the highlights of the AAJ Conference was the Service Project with Cradles to Crayons, an organization dedicated to making sure unused resources reach the children who need them most. Amanda and Brian joined fellow AAJ members to sort new and gently used donations — checking quality, organizing items, packaging essentials, and preparing them to be distributed to kids across Chicago communities

About the Organization

Cradles to Crayons operates on a simple but powerful philosophy: families struggling to afford rent and groceries often cannot cover anything beyond basic survival. Items like properly fitting school clothes, diapers, backpacks, shoes, pajamas, or a warm winter coat are out of reach for many. By redistributing donated essentials, Cradles to Crayons helps bridge that gap and ensures children have what they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
